How My Grandma Grow Vegetables | Chinese Vegetable Gardens | Rural China

This is a clip from November 2020. I went back to my hometown from the city.

My Grandma has been living in a rural village from Southern Region of China, which is located in a typical rural area.

Actually Grandma could grow anything in her vegetable gardens. However, since my grandpa passed away in September 2020, grandma has been in poor health and has been unable to manage the vegetable gardens for nearly 2 months. Taking advantage of this time when I returned to my hometown, I told grandmother to plant and grow some vegetables, so that I could water the vegetables. And we have got some lettuce seedlings from other villagers. We decide to plant these seedlings in grandma’s vegetable garden.

Many of villagers here are planted on a small scale and do not use water pumps. So we need to pick water manually. But grandma is also 80 years old, and she has been suffering from back pain, it is very difficult to manage the vegetable garden by herself. Moreover, the weather this year is quite abnormal. Our hometown has not rained for 2 months and the land is also dry.
