Leah, I love your videos! As a single woman you've guided me through so many projects. Can you tell me what type of landscape fabric this is? There are so many that are labeled as 20-25 year fabric but reviews are terrible, stating that water cannot permeate, which would be a problem with this type of project. I appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks again!

I enjoy all your projects but this to me is very hard for the dog to walk on and lay on. I got metal fencing (laid it on the ground) and then placed dirt/grass on top. The dog will try to dig once and when he feels his foot getting caught in the fencing he will stop digging.

Could you use mulch instead of gravel?
Over time wouldn’t the smell of urine and feces cause other unintended challenges.

I had the same issue. I place the dogs poop in a hole he dug. He dug somewhere else and we did it again. He never dug another hole again.
Good video to be fair but definitely wrong stone for dogs?
My shepherds dug up those grates and chewed them up. Would not recommend these products, they are not dig "proof", but they are dig "resistant".

If I can't run on it or sit on it and be comfortable, or if I wouldn't have my children play barefoot on it, than I would not have my best friends on rocks. I would just have to clean my dogs paws after they play on the grass or dirt before they come into the house, and I would accept the less than perfect backyard. Dogs may "look" happy playing on rocks, but that's not for my companions.

If you don't have digging issues Yuki can forget the gravel and do the same but add in fake grass. It's soft/cool for your dog and you just hose it down after picking up poop and to wash away any pee smell it. You can even lightly spray liquid soap out of a spray bottle (apple smell dawn for example) and then hose it down or use a car wash foam cannon/sprayer with soap to hose it down.
