Fertilizing Summer Vegetable Gardens Organically

Lately I have had a lot of people asking me what I use to fertilize my garden, and while I’m always happy to share that information, I also want people to understand why and how I use this organic fertilizer, and also learn how to find the best fertilizer for your garden.

This video is not sponsored, but I do love thus fertilizer so here is a link to where you might be able to find it:

  1. Kyle, I got a question. Can you grow in soil where dogs have pooped in? Do you remove the soil and replace it? Unsure what to do.

  2. Exalent wake in the garden thanks a lot. My question is that,is amoniam sauphety fetelizer best as tomato top.

  3. So efficient layout, no raised beds, more mulched space than growing area.
    – can you grow tomato at same place year after year?
    – the mulched area always being mulched? Or you switch to grow in muched path next season?

    Thanks for sharing, very informative.👍🏻💚

  4. You did not mention that plants only use inorganic fertilizer. Organic fertilizer is an oxymoron. Organic additives have to be changed to what the roots can take in. There are 18… some are Nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, boron, chlorine, iron, manganese, zinc, copper, molybdenum, nickel and silica. These chemicals come from the soil solution. Air has carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen.

  5. I really appreciate that your videos pack in so much information without being too long.

  6. Question: tomatoes, to prune or not to prune suckers… what about a letting a sucker go to 2 or 4 leaves and toppin it… let the suckers grow, then stop them. Seems like it might be the best of both worlds.

  7. Your video was so wonderful that I watched it until 3:00 in the morning! Your tone of voice is smooth and gentle, making it easy for me, a foreigner, to listen to you. Of course, the content of your conversation is organized and accurate. It's like listening to a university lecture, and it often gets stuck in my head. The actual garden looks perfect as per your efforts👌

  8. Great video! I’m still learning more on fertilizers. Would it be wise to change fertilizers? I just started my veggies last month and I used a 5-7-3. They are growing well. Some of my tomatoes are starting to grow. Since it’s been a month can I re-fertilizer to a 4-9-3 fertilizer? I’m using organic ones. I don’t want to over use nitrogen but knowing the phosphorus is more needed for the flowering stage. Or is my 5-7-3 one still acceptable? Thanks

  9. I applied fertilizer in the soil before I directly sewed my seed. How long after should I wait to fertilize on top of the soil? Still two months?

  10. Hi Kyle, thank you so much for the information you provided in this video. I just finished watching it for the forth time in last 3 days lololol wanted to make sure I understood you correctly.
I’m so grateful I found you, I’m 100 miles north of you. It’s so nice to be in the same climate & zone I can garden with, most gardeners I’ve watched live back east somewhere. You are now my go to! Thank you again & again, happy gardening neighbor 🌻
