Its approaching spring now in Australia. You have some wonderful streams. Any chance u could have playlists based on each season for subscribers in other seasons. ❤
The makeup comparisons are cracking me up! 😂
I put red bell peppers in the ground almost 3 weeks ago that I seeded from MIGardener seeds. I have green beans, cucumber, broccoli and kale seedlings I'm watching like a hawk. And I still have a couple of Cherokee purple tomato plants that are continuing to produce. This will be my first fall garden and I'm so excited!
Hotter climates make higher, and stronger winds. Sometimes we growers, need to consider that. Us natives dig pits to block the wind, and to get down to lower elevations, where it gets cooler.
I have 2 beautiful tomato plants that are about 5' tall. Flowers come on and then fall off. I watch my watering and fertilize with 10-10-10 every 2 weeks. I have tried to pollinate regularly. What might I try next or just wait for cooler temps here in zone 9(hot).
I'm not behind. I'm not behind 😂😂
💚🌞
Just planted my zucchini and beans this week, in Missouri!
82 degrees!? I wish. LOL. It's 2:30 in Zone 8B Texas today and it's already 100 degrees. Expecting 104 for the finish today. Luke – You take my temp and I'll take yours. HAHA.
What do you think of block gardening?
I'm in TX 105 right now
An insight into one of Luke's guilty pleasures😂
All my plants are just starting to produce, it’s hard to believe in other parts of the State the season is ending
Iowa Zone 5a. Trying for napa cabbage and turnips, but insects are big and bad this time of year. I also amend the soil as opportunity presents, like right now when I convert the zucchini bed into a turnip bed. I'm gambling that a soap spray will at least delay the return of the squash bugs, giving the turnips time to get established. Biggest challenge is starting seedlings. Can't seem to find the right combo of water and sun.
Right on Luke!🤗
This was a delight. 😊 For my late summer and fall garden, I planted: patty pan squash, bush beans, carrots, three varieties of lettuce, and will be planting other leafy greens and broccoli. Although the broccoli I am doing from starts as unfortunately time got away from me. I also have a couple of fall blooming perennials such as asters and I planted another round of calendula.
Hi Luke, this is my first fall garden, so I'm super excited. Just planted peas yesterday, also planning beets, radish, lettuce, spinach, carrots. You just inspired me to try zucchini! I will start them in starter pods like you did. I also live in Michigan–south central. I need a bigger garden! Glad to see you added compost. I did that also, but wasn't sure it was the right thing to do, so you reassured me. Thanks.
For my fall crops im growing carrots, red and green cabbage, beets, radishes, and i threw in a couple egg plants. I still have all my summer plants growing. Tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, celery, green beans, onions, zucchini, a couple varieties of squash, kale, kajari melon and cucumbers.
Love the fall garden info…I’m soooo confused 🤦♀️
