Self Sufficient Me is based on our small 3-acre property/homestead in SE Queensland Australia about 45kms north of Brisbane – the climate is subtropical (similar to Florida). I started Self Sufficient Me in 2011 as a blog website project where I document and write about backyard food growing, self-sufficiency, and urban farming in general. I love sharing my foodie and DIY adventures online so come along with me and let’s get into it! Cheers, Mark 🙂

  1. I really admire your wonderful vege garden and it's amazing that you got almost everything on earth 😊👍👍

  2. Where did you get your raised beds!?!?!? How tall are they? I'm plan on starting raised bed and I want to do them right. I'm trying to do research to get the best value and longevity for an affordable price but not cheaply done.

  3. This might be off topic but was in garden smoking some herb and though this chanell .Like to say how good raseberry are here ,Dug up some wild raseberry over 15 years ago and its has taken over the yard .We got big juicy raseberry along with two apple tree a .small garden of potatos carrots, letus, tomatos.peace

  4. Lemon balm, I would remove chili's, but only because I don't eat them often. I also love terragon. Texas terragon is my favorite because of it's anise flavor, but Mexican terragon is really nice, too.

  5. You never be sick the juices green are good to loose weight. And give energy me and husband drink every second day like lettuce cucumbers .spinach.celery loose belly .only green juice i like this video i a new watching.your video thankyou.

  6. Thyme grows great in warmer zones if just tossed in a container and largely left alone.

  7. I could not get seed of clove can you get it and sed to me please? I am from ethiopia
Tigrai thank you my name Assefa

  8. Awesome video! I'd replace chives with green onions. They have a stronger taste/smell to me and go better with the types of dishes I make (personal preference)

  9. Love your work!! I'm never able to grow Thyme – everything else grows here on Lamb island but everywhere I've lived – I just have not been able to sustain Thyme!
