I always learn something when I tune in. Thank you! I got one nugget of wisdom from Jerry today that maybe you can elaborate on. Why is running drip irrigation everyday a bad idea? I have drip irrigation in zone 7a/6b. I deal with the heat and humidity too and always struggle to know how long to run it and when. Thanks!

I couldn’t agree more about foliage plants. As a new gardener I chased blooms at the beginning, but now I have some annuals , but layering blooming ground covers and shrubs, with evergreens is my main focus. Structure and height variance is what I’m interested in most. Pollinators get a lot from flowering ground covers.
It is so much fun following your projects. The berm is so educational as to what plants thrive in zone 7. I learn a great deal from you guys and really am happy for you4 God given success. You’ve worked hard and He is rewarding your efforts.

What type compost blend do you use?
I like how Jerry is 🎤 up! I ended up buying a banana appeal and 2 varigated leaf hydrangeas that i have never seen before in my life to plant up. So excited! Love your knowledge.
What size are the emitters for the brum area? Do you ring each plant with the water source?

Thank you for showing us even your less than “Instagram worthy” flowerbed. Other influencers seem only to show what’s perfect even tho they may “say” some areas didn’t turn out well. We need to see “failures” and what you suggest how to correct.

High quality compost soil mixture and bio-tone. I hope you'll let us know exactly what you use when you amend the beds.
So guys. You added “real good” compost to the berm. How does one know what “real good” compost is? Can you look at it and tell? What questions do you ask? I have a real problem with my no nutrient sandy soil. 🤷🏻♀️
