Fig Trees are great sources of sweet fruit but the fruit is actually an inverted flower. This is what a mature common fig looks like. Figs can manage in Zone 6 or warmer. I manage a fig in Zone 7. If my winters are extra cold the fig tree will die to the ground. If it is mild the wood survives and I get figs.

Fig trees are great additions to vegetable gardens. They are pretty hardy and can take freezing winters. I am in Maryland Zone 7. The video introduces you to fig trees and shows you when a fig is ready for harvesting. Did you know a fig is an inverted flower and not a fruit?
