MIgardener: I Can’t Believe This Came From My Garden!

I made carrot cake from scratch from carrots. I grew in the garden. This was probably one of the best carrot cakes I have ever had in my entire life!

  1. Good idea! We just pulled out our migardener carrots yesterday! My first time growing carrots and they did great!

  2. Oh my goodness I was laughing so hard. You did a great job keep those garden to baking or cooking shows coming.

  3. Love this! I'm definitely going to try this recipe 😁 After watching all of your growing guides and such, it's really cool to watch you use what you've grown in actual recipes 💯 I personally would love to see more videos like this 😊👍

  4. Thank you for this recipe. I will definitely add to my recipe collections and of course will make this one this weekend. Those carrots are so lovely.

  5. Carrot cake is one of my favorite cakes also. I haven't ever had much success in raising carrots, but I'm going to try again next year. I haven't tried for a while.

My wife and I just bought a new place. It's just less than an acre. The layout is perfect. I saw your video short on fall planting garlic. My question is can I transplant my garlic now. I have some plants still in the ground and would like to take some to the new property. Thanks.

  6. In cooking shows, the chefs always take a bite of their food on camera! I’m a bit disappointed you didn’t!

  7. I was so proud of myself too that I used my homegrown carrots to make carrot cake for my family 😀.

  8. How did you know that I've been wanting to make carrot cake!? Have you been reading my mind!??? All my carrots went to seed.

  9. I say this at least twice a week right now when eating. I say I can't believe this all came from my garden.

  10. I call it a spatula too 😂This is my daughter's favorite cake. I really want to try to grow my own vegetables next year of the ones we eat.

  11. OMG CARROT CAKE IS MY FAVE. soon ill have my harden carrots too 🥕 SOON. awesome and funny video as always

  12. Well done, Luke! I am really enjoying these garden to dish videos. It’s a great way to get the creative juices flowing for us gardeners and bolster confidence. Looking forward to more!

  13. Looks great but I’ve never seen clear vanilla extract. Happy to see you show what can be made from fresh garden produce

  14. Your bake time is going to be different just because your fresh produce is going to have more water content

  15. Why Luke! Why did you ruin my life with finding that out! Nooo! 🤣

  16. Thanks so much for the video! I love so much when you do recipes with produce from the garden! I hope to see more of those coming out!

  17. Language is a living entity except for something like Latin. Dictionary and sales manuals use "spatula" for both of those tools.
    🙂🙃🙂😉😊

  18. I love that feeling of satisfaction knowing something you're eating came straight from your own garden.

  19. I am in the middle of canning carrots and you come up with the most delicious looking cake . Feel that I have wasted the day. Lol Thank you for the yummy video.

  20. Thanks for the cake demonstration. I love how you used a liquid cup for the carrots! Just struck me funny. Usually people do just the opposite, they use the solid measuring cup for liquids. My husband makes eggs and oatmeal. I'll have to have him watch this to get him inspired but frankly, I don't think it would help. Thx for the seed sale too. I'm heading there after watching the final results of your cake. So will your coming in Nov. sold out seeds be on sale?
