mhpgardener: Around the Greenhouse – Lots of Work to Do

Winter has finally arrived, and brought our first snow. But, not to worry. Inside the greenhouses, work is picking up. I’ve begun the process of rotating the dutch buckets with a new crop of tomatoes. The hydroponic lettuce bed will be moved and will be set up beside the rail system. This should free up space for my aquaponic setup and more dutch buckets. I’ve pulled my cold frame out of retirement and will be using it to start seeds for my outside gardens.
The tomatoes are still producing pretty good, a new batch of cole crops is underway, and I found the biggest turnip I’ve ever grown in my garden. But…. it was a volunteer ! Sometimes things do much better when we humans stay out of the way. 🙂
