  1. Hi Joe!

Just do things when you are feeling ready. Looking forward for the transformation but it all takes time. Steady as you go I think thats probably the best way, well I find any way! If anyone can you are the chap for the job. Anyway best regards to you and your family.

    Nice video good attitude too

    Regards

    David

  2. I feel your pain Joe, my plot is embarrassing to say the least!
I have a quarter membraned, another quarter covered in heavy cardboard and the rest is weeds and its a big plot which equals a lot of weeds 😬
Im like you, generally go for it early January and turn it around.
I have my work cut out but determined to get it back to how it was. I have big plans for the plot but no time at present to do anything down there. Im just collecting materials ready for the winter slog 😂
Keep your chin up and chip away at it, its good to see you are back in the game 👍

  3. Nice to see you back at the plot, Been loving the varied content E bike & Evolution reviews especially but have been missing watching you bust a gut transforming the plot. Stay well & defiantly don't put the channel ahead of your mental health. Thanks for letting us be part of your life's journey. You have helped me turn the corner with my own issues. Again Thank you

  4. I stopped using membrane. I only use black polythene now. It seems to work much better because it is a solid plastic, not woven.

  5. I think back hoeing the surface is chopping up the weeds/roots? Need to get a spade and turn it over. No hate but I reckon it would help 🤷🏼‍♂️

  6. I have been using old plastic sheets from local timber yard to suppress the weeds, I have to double it up. But it works and is free

  7. Love that you sign thank you as well as saying it! New subscriber here and also new allotment plot holder, got it sunday😁 i love seeing this type of video as it encourages me to start.

  8. All that grass will make lovely compost/mulch! You clear stuff so well with your monster hoe I am slightly surprised you like weed membrane so much. However I assume you cut it when you put the raised beds on top.❤ Does the blonde pixie dig? Mine doesn't but she's 68 and a bit poorly – still I keep asking😂!
