My mother had dementia forv17 years and her favorite time was Christma being one of 13 children She would always say I want to go home and after a few years we realized what she meant was that feeling of Home was being with her Mom and Dad and siblings and now family. I'm there with you, our family Christmas is dec. 9th so i am in Christmas mide decor, too. In fact I'm all done decorating.
Now wrapping, baking, i have a to do list. So my act is all together.
Loved the way we could hear the Saturday noon tornado siren in the background and no one noticed or said a word!! Only a local would have a clue about that sound . Goose is utterly adorable! Thanks for all the wonderful decorating ideas.

love your christmas decor.. add a dimension to your hanging stockings by adding fluffs of white tissue paper peeking out of the tops of the stockings… it makes them come alive!!! white or blue velvet ribbon to hang the stocking with. also puffs of tissue under the silver tree adds a fullness and creates fullness… have fun,aa

I use small screw-in gold cup hooks just on the underside of my mantel to hang stockings. So much better than the hangers and they don’t detract from the mantel decor.

Seating? I use 2 end tables and 1 coffee table as benches if necessary. They are very basic and rustic. I have turned them into benches "permanently" on my covered front porch and bring them in as necessary. They're perfect. I put a cushion or little blanket on them to match the decor.

I love your Christmas decorating style with fresh greens and candles and the hurricanes. I notice your windo above the tub has signs of water penetrating the seal. It will eventually rot your window sill and frame. Check it out before the damage is permanent. It might just be that the water from your window box is the source and an adjustment in watering practice will solve it.
