In case you’re new to the world of Mesembs, you may not know who Steven Hammer is. He is arguably the world’s foremost authority on South African succulents, he lives here in Southern California, and he does sell plants directly. His collection of lithops and Conophytum is mind-blowing!
I’ve been fortunate enough to visit his home, aka “The Sphaeroid Institute” on a couple of occasions and have purchased lots of plants from him over the years.

He has an Etsy shop (Sphaeroidinstitue) but the selection is less than the tip of his iceberg.
