Isolated Gardeners – Join Me – lets help folks out!

These are very strange times we seem to be entering but I think gardening at any level be it in the allotment or simply potting a plant is a great therapeutic aid as we start to go into isolation from each one. This is a very strange and scary time but while I can, my commitment is that I want to put out as much gardening content as I possibly can to help any who are having to go through prolonged isolation – especially if they live on their own.

Gardening YouTube channels – join me and together through our gardening content we can overcome the isolation and loneliness that Covid19 has brought to us.

  1. I am hoping to have a fabulous garden by the end of the isolation period as I intend to keep myself busy. I might end up cutting the lawn with a pair of scissors if I get bored enough. I am so glad we are not coming into the winter period and stuck indoors as I think it would finish me off. Let's hope the weather keeps on improving and we can at least get outside. I might even paint the fence or at least think about it 😊 Great competition Tony, keep the videos coming as you always make me laugh with your enthusiasm.

  2. Fairplay Tony. We arent in the UK. Cant visit our allotments as closed but its ok we all understand why. I am going to grow as much as i can at home. Thanks for being so kind. Us Irish are a bit low tonight hearing the reality of how long this may go on and how many could be effected.God bless take care Tony.😔😔

  3. That's a fantastic prize to give away, it's going to make someone's day when the winner is announced! ☺
You have a lovely cheerful manner and a big heart, we could do with more people like you, who think of others. Stay safe Tony.

  4. Real " Dig for Victory " spirit Tony. Your a star. Keep up the great videos. Take care and stay safe.

  5. Tony, you are a wonderful man, I always look forward to your vlogs with good reason, I have never been disappointed yet. Keep up your good work, you’re totally right sowing a seed and nurturing it to fruition has to be one of the most satisfying, positive, humbling and enjoyable things in life and anyone can do it. We need to stay positive in these troubled times and growing, but especially growing along with friends like you is an absolute pleasure. Take care and stay safe we need more people like you. Sue

  6. Hi Tony, lovely ideas . On our allotment sites we have asked all plot holders who are having to self isolate to put a bamboo cane on the corner of their plot with a flag of material on it ( skull and cross bones was suggested 😉) to inform other plot holders not to go up to them. I think a lot of my plot holders ,of a certain age will be sneaking down to their plots !

  7. Hi great stuff tony
Well I’m isolating as I’m in high risk category but working from home and still trying to do what I can
Think this is such a great idea just dodge anyone on the way to the allotment one thing I’ve done is doing some peas for shoots quick easy kids love them too, also you could do some how you cook with what you’ve stored. People could be isolated for months so don’t underestimate how important what you are doing will be x

  8. Hi Tony, big fan of your channel, really enjoy your style and watching your videos. I’ve been gardening at home for a little while now, first year on my allotment though, been working hard to get it ready (inherited a bit of a mess!) I work in a busy A&E department so the allotment is a great place to de-stress after a tough shift and clear the mind with some fresh air! Keep up the good work and take care of yourself. The world needs all the kindness it can get right now

  9. Thank you so much for this. We aren't locked down yet here in Nebraska USA. But it's far too early for me to get out in my plot. It does my heart good to watch gardening and live vicariously.

  10. Many thanks 🙏 Tony I had watched too much news today .. felt the tension ease as I watched your video.. good health 🐕

  11. Becouse my gardening keep me going doctors say I could not be doing it but I can.t sit around and do nothing I would go mad and give up so I keep my self bessy and I get joy out of see the old people enjoy the veg

  12. My dad is on the front line in our local hospital as a domestic supervisor, (main manager) and he has been working 12 hour night shifts on call, it's been total madness, alot of staff have been isolating and with our first COVID-19 death it's all very tense.
Me and my mum are on lockdown because of this, I'm meant to be doing a chef apprenticeship but that's on hold for 8 weeks….
If there a kitchen to go back too, I can't even go to the plot.
Anyway, goodluck and stay safe 🙂

  13. New subscriber here. What a great channel and you've a heart of gold.
You're so right, getting your fingers in the dirt is so good for the soul.
I've sent an email over to be entered for your amazing prize. It would be a huge bonus for us when I cant get out.

  14. I too would love the pod i got my plot 1 and half years ago to help with chronic health anxiety . I cant leave the house. But i will not enter . I believe this should be given to an older gardener that can reap the benefits. Love to all of you stuck at home. And you tony! Your vids have been great to me over the years. Stay safe

  15. Your heart is in the right place! Thank you for caring about others at a time when most people are shunning others. Like the other viewer , I am 72, and I am putting all of my energy into my garden. I'm safe here and nothing makes me feel better than being in the sunshine and digging in the dirt, and if I can grow some food we will need so much the better.

  16. Hi tony thank you thinking of us all it’s been a hard 11 months and with what is going on around the world is just making things harder
I feel sorry for people that are having to stay at home with what is going on
