Those look like recently pollinated fruit. They’ll be ready by next fall. If you’re jonesin’ to find out, you can drop some water on them and see if they open, but I’d be pretty surprised if they were old enough to open.

The seed pods are ready to harvest when they’ve dried up, so I’d wait until then. The seeds are like little reddish brown flecks of black pepper.
