I worked at one of the area ‘s most popular farm store , which has a huge garden center. I spent every break in there. ~ Tammy
Work in a green house in high school it was good I just wish I used it to learn more about growing
Thank you Like my rosemary plant is, surprisingly, still alive. In the past they've never made it past March here in Ontario Canada. So I'm going to try your method. Hoping to use rosemary as a bug deterrent around the tomatoes and beans. Happy New Year… Happy gardening 😊
Oh, no! I have a stevia cutting that rooted. Had no clue how finicky they are. Hopefully it lives til Spring. Dug up original plant to overwinter and did a cutting as insurance
👍❤️👍❤️👍
So you were married and a father at 17?
It looks like the sage out west and I like lavender for smell and it looks so cool I had probably (200) 18 inch in like 3 foot by 2 foot flower box
I've been watching you since your old 80's style video game graphics-PowerPoint fusion videos. You've come far fast!
I HAVE A QUESTION. Why do you propagate rosemary and not grow from seed?
Fascinating. You are such a good teacher. Do you ever do school programs? I can imagine that kids would respond well to you. 😊
Do you use water from a house that has a softener?
I’m going to try this! Thank you Luke.
Thank you, very informative.
Interesting, can petunia cuttings be started in vermiculite, too?
Luke I have been trying to root cuttings for many years. I had one hazelnut trimming that rooted and started growing and suddenly died. I think vermiculite would have made a big difference, and the cutting would be growing in my back yard now. Thanks for another wonderful video. Nothing better than going back in time for us to understand how you got to where you are now. Love you back buddy. May the Lord keep blessing you and yours.
Can you use the vermiculite for a second cutting once the first one is removed? Do you need to desinfect it? Thank you so much for the videos, I have learned so much.
After you set up these trays of cuttings, do you then put them under the grow lights like seedlings? I’m going to try to propagate my rosemary for our MG plant sale in March. I’d love a list of plants that propagate well. Thank you so much for all the knowledge you share. Happy gardening. 🌱💚👩🌾🪴🌿
I remember seeing one of your videos when you were.uch younger, I think it had to do with getting rid of gnats indoors. 😄👌
Propagated rosemary a couple of weeks ago when you did your other video and I have some rooting! Will do more in a few days. Thanks so much for showing how easy this is.
might have missed it but do you put a dome or blackout or under grow lights?
Many years ago I got a temp job in a commercial greenhouse. It fueled my love for growing and gardening.
I always have trouble planting from seed. The new plants are always spindley looking. What am I doing wrong??
I can't get over how expensive rosemary is in home depot!
The Stevia hate cracks me up so much! I work in a research greenhouse and one of the main crops we have is stevia and every 3 weeks we have to propogate it. For us it roots easily but the SMELL and the stickiness is awful
Thank You!
Thank you Luke
I snip off a few stems of rosemary in late fall to root in water over the winter. By the time May comes, I’ve got plentiful roots!
Help Luke!! I have been trying to seed start some of my loofah, this is my second go round, but not having much luck! Can you possibly do a video on that very subject? Thank you in advance!!
That was so cool to watch! Thanks for another great video!!
Thanks Luke.. I just started rosemary in soil blocks. Come fall i'll definitely take cuttings!
My goodness, a lot of propagation. Learned a lot, thank you.
I used to work at a rose & ivy greenhouse in central wisconsin; it was a terrific job and the air was very fresh smelling! On-the-job training is a fantastic experience.
To the young you in my best Yoda impression "Young Luke, much to learn you still have"
Now "Well you have done!" 😁
For as long as I’ve grown Rosemary I’m embarrassed to say I never knew I could propagate clipping’s like this but,now I know- thanks! 🌱
He had a literal green thumb!!❤
Thank you for sharing, Luke! You have inspired me to propagate some rosemary! 🪴
Cool video, Luke. I’ve got some mint propagating right now after watching your last video. And have six giant crimson tomato seedlings going. Going to be a good year!
Hey Luke – How long does it take for it to root enough to transplant?
Great content as always!!!!
Hey Luke, do you mind if I download your videos or the audio of your videos through some video downloader web app? I want to practice my listening and speaking skills.
I remember watching your channel when you had the tomato stand in the front yard. I love your channel, you are a wealth of information, keep up the great work.
