In a move keenly monitored by civic bodies and environmentalists, the Karnataka government has announced plans to construct a multi-storey building within Bengaluru’s much-loved Kaban Park. This new establishment, with its seven to eight floors, is being built to accommodate the office of the State Election Commission. Despite outrage from environmental activists, the Kendra High Court has given the green light to this project in 2019, under the condition that no trees should be affected during its construction. Activists argue that the construction might disrupt the park’s ecosystem and reduce its appeal as a popular green space. The decision to locate such an infrastructure within the confines of the park, where even vehicular movement is limited during weekends, definitely sparks some controversies. #KarnatakaGovernment #KabanPark #Bengaluru #StateElectionCommission

Kataka government is planning to construct a multi-story building in bengaluru’s scabin park the building which will have at least 7 to eight floors will service the Office of the State Election Commission the case was pending before the Karnataka high court and in 2019 it permitted the construction of the building inside
Cabon Park without cutting down trees many environmentalist activists are against the government’s decision saying the construction of a building would disturb the Ecology of the park carbon Park is a green space in the heart of bangaluru and on weekends even vehicular movement is banned inside it it’s not only about the morning
Walkers and environment list alone Bangalore City the citizens of Bangalore need their lung space need to protect that lung space so every citizen of Bangalore I feel uh will not agree if their lung space is compromised we need to encourage more green space create more green space and not uh shrink it
That will be seen by our Minister our in our InCharge Minister here Mr DK shukumar will be there and I don’t think we will take any such call earlier also initially when there was an issue where the environment is going to be affected you know that our party and our
Government is pro people we are going to take everything into consideration and only then we take a call those are all areas where it has to be Absolut you cannot go and build something in place so we would request all the people who are behind this not
To precipitate the issue and uh we should always have a nice Bangalore as you are aware is called The Garden City and lot of trees and Gardens everything is fine in the cab Park area and so on we do not want to have any buildings in that area
