I never understood or imagined how this plant grow, what’s its growth pattern like? [edir:checked on Wikipedia and they seems to be kind of the polar opposite of lithops in terms of of “watering seasons”]

Stunner! Love the massive Cheiridopsis flowers. Have you been able to encourage the red foliage, or is that just a selection of this species?
