I took cuttings from a Forsythia last winter and put them in a heated (65F) room to force out of dormancy and propagate for a hedge wall. I used rooting hormone powder and change the water regularly. Flowers came and went, leaves came in good, but still no roots! Some of the leaves are even starting to wilt. Should I just stick them in the ground anyways before I lose more spring, am I just being impatient, or am I just doing something wrong?

All the energy is going to keep the flowers and leaves alive. Look up YouTube propagating Forsythia for answers.
