sitting on 10 acres off Walnut Boulevard
in brenwood Perez Nursery is a
family-owned operated business that
specializes in multiplant species they
offer one-on-one consultations between
customers and employees to promote an
experience that is personable and
informative P nry has been in business
for over 30 years uh we’re having a
landscaping company and a Retail Nursery
uh it’s a family-owned uh business and
so we’ve had all our children um work
here and now we have our grandchildren
we have 10 acres of growing grounds uh
where we have grown uh sha trees and
perennials and shrubs um uh to sell to
the our community here and uh people
really like what we grow because we tend
to bring in things that do well in our
area for our temperatures when arriving
at the nursery you see rows of plants of
all shapes sizes and colors the nursery
provides a stimulating plant environment
people who are new to gardening may find
it a little intimidating but it’s not
long before an employee comes to check
on you to ask if you’re finding
everything okay or if you need to know
anything about a certain plant they
really really like that we are uh
personal service one-on-one service we
will remember you we will follow you
through the whole process from when you
begin your project to the end uh right
now we have clients coming that 20 years
ago we work they worked on their Garden
they want to redo it they come back here
because they said you know you helped us
and it was beautiful I just need to
refresh it and that’s why we’re back
here at PR Nursery gardening can be
therapeutic for those who love to see
their hard work and plant Thrive it can
bring a sense of accomplishment as well
as results that can make any neighbor
jealous to better prepare yourself for
your garden project here are three tips
from Perez popular this year for the
2024 uh trend for gardening it seems to
be is Wellness Gardens meaning the
homeowners really want to um fix their
landscaping and include plants that will
make them feel good meaning they could
do like rosemary plants they could with
things that they have fragrance things
that lavender
um things that as they walk out the yard
it’s like therapeutic that is very big
for the 2024 year so the second tip
would be is to get to know also your
soil we need to know do you have a lot
of sand do you have a lot of clay uh
because that’s important because when
you water and we’ll guide you how to
water your plants there’s plants that
love water and there’s plants that do
not want any water or very little and um
so we also will tell you how to amend
your soil but we need to know um are you
clay or are you Sandy and your soul
conditioner so for the third tip I would
say to the new gardeners is that enjoy
the process uh just come in and observe
the plants and um enjoy them and and get
to know what is what one of the nursery
professionals here Perez will show you
what it’s a shade loving plant what’s a
a sun-loving plant and uh just don’t be
nervous if you have any questions uh
come to pz nursery and we’ll be here to
answer any question you have our hours
are Monday to Sunday um from uh 8 to
4:30 we are open seven days a week
during the Spring season and um we’re
here ready to answer all your
questions
