Plant Propagation

Is slime a normal part of the propagation process?

I’ve been water propagating this clipping from my pitcher plant for about two months now. A few days ago, I noticed this slime coming from the leaves. I thought it much be fungus so I washed the jar well and put in fresh, filtered water. The water is cloudy because I put a bit of Neem oil in it to deter pests.

The leaves look super healthy but the slime production persists. Is this normal?

i wouldn’t put neem oil in the water- rinse it all off again & prop in a jar with water only 🙂
