Over 1yr in Water; Will They Survive in Soil?

As the title says, I’ve had these cuttings in water for well over a year now 😅 I’d like to try planting them, but I’ve read that if cuttings are in water for too long it’s very unlikely that they’ll survive being transferred to soil.

Is it even worth trying? Would rooting gel help?

If not, could I snip a section off of the vine-y ones and try again?

They are able to be transferred. There will just be a transition period where you will want to ensure you are keeping the soil moist to not dehydrate the roots.
Generally this takes about a week or so. There is no difference between water roots vs soil roots however, the plant grows based on the environment that it is in. It will need time to acclimate.
I have cuttings that have been neglected in water for almost two years. They will eventually get their soil!

A bit off topic what is that beautiful red leafed plant? She looks stunning!

Absolutely yes 🙌🏻 Go for it! I’d use some well draining soil + perlite
