It gets plenty of indirect sunlight and has new growth. I change the water about once a week at the least. I've had it in here for about a month now. There is a white substance that is soft and comes off, is it a fungus or something?

I have had no luck propagating from a money tree so I’m following. I love the results of pruning back my money tree so I’d like to try to keep some of the clippings next time.
