hello passionate Gardener welcome to your Channel today we are driving into the world of raspberries and I will show you how to plant raspberry canes in a pot whether you have a limited space or just want the convenience of growing them in container this method is perfect for you let’s get started raspberries are not only delicious but also quite versatile when it come to growing by planting them in pot you can enjoy fresh raspberries even if you have a small garden or a balcony plus it makes maintenance and harvesting easy let’s first understand what are these raspberry once raspberry plants are established they grow rapidly and new plants keep com coming from the roots if you see the root you’ll be able to find some small plants coming from the roots let let me find out one yeah you see the roots and little plants is coming out those are going to be established as a new plant or a cane I have dig out those root or canes from my raspberry patches uh we don’t need to have lot of soil around the roots they will be okay but make sure you have Roots around the can I just dig them out I I want them to be drink some water so that they have best chances to survive so PL putting them in a bucket of water just maybe a few hours or day I we can put few days in the winter they should be okay okay this will give them the best chance to survive after replanting now let’s get our hands diry take your raspber cane and gently place it into the center of the pot ensure the roots are spread out and cover them with soil we need to water the plant thoroughly to help it settle in choosing the right PT and soil is important rasberries have solo root system so a wide and deep container works best make sure it has drainage hole at the bottom to prevent water locking use a good quantity potting mix with added organic matters for Optimum growth raspberries loves sunlight so place your pot in a Sunny Spot aim for at least 6 hours of sunlight a day when it comes to watering raspberries preferred consistent moisture Water Deep when the top inch of soil feels dry pring is essential for raspberries it encourages new growth and improves the food Productions remove any de or week canes or seconde canes this is not applicable for us because we have chosen all healthy cans and the firste canes which are going to fruit this year keep your raspberry plants happy and productive feed it with a balanced fertilizer during the growing season organic options works well for those V is providing them with essential nutritions congratulations you have successfully planted raspberry cane in a pot this is my two weeks update lot of new shoots are already coming with a little care and attention you will soon be enjoying your homegrown rasberries if you found this video helpful give it a thumbs up and don’t forget to subscribe for more gardening tips happy gardening
