Plant Propagation

I’ve been trying to save this cutting of epipremnum pinnatum variegata for months. I don’t know what to do anymore 🥲

I’ve been trying to make it root for months, it doesn’t grow… but it doesn’t die either. It’s in osmosis water with a bit of h2o2, and an air stone.
Should I shorten the stem? And keep only a few roots?

I would maybe try changing the substrate if it’s been months of this. For example, I would try just straight water without peroxide, and if that doesn’t work, would consider adding a tiny bit of fertilizer. And if that doesn’t work, would try propagating in perlite or sphagnum moss.

Edit: What about light? How far away is it from a good window?

I see roots but I don’t see a node. May be a zombie leaf.

Where’s the node? Without, it won’t grow into a plant

i don’t even know how you got THOSE roots

People here are saying they’re not seeing a node, but I’m seeing *too many* nodes. Try to cut off some of the lower nodes, it should only need 1-2 to focus growing roots out of. I would cut below where the root nubs are longest/most. You can also try putting it into a humid enclosure, like a big upside down glass jar, terrarium or even a clear plastic bag.

it’s got a ton of hope still, just be patient and have faith in nature! mine took 3 months before it started pushing out roots. change your water weekly to keep it oxygenated, or add a bubbler if you can.

This looks like just a leaf and no node.

Leafs will grow roots but they will never grow any new leaves. I’m sorry but it’s a pointless endeavor trying to root this guy.

Maybe put in a prop box in moss or perlite instead?
