Hi everyone welcome to a rainy day in June I think at least once a year I like to rewatch all of Makoto Shinkai’s works I always enjoyed seeing all the detailed scenery and ambience of Japan I think especially living in Tokyo the scenes feels so familar I also love how each season is depicted rain or shine there’s something to apprieciate in each season and I happen to quite like rainy Tokyo there’s one place I’ve been saving to visit on a rainy day first got to grab a little snack of course it’s the part in‘ The Garden of Words’ you can see many details of the park in the movie getting a coffee to go the famous bench is right next to the Kyu-Goryo-Tei (Taiwan Pavilion) love the rainy day ambiance you might recognise this spot from the cover of the movie it’s so relaxing sitting here listening to the rain the garden itself is so beautiful I brought a book to pass the time having a little moment to unwind I definitely recommend visiting on a rainy day it got a bit chilly so we’re headed off going to go find something warm to eat back in Shinjuku what better way to warm up than with a bowl of ramen so many options I ended up getting the special ramen it’s a fine day in October even as the days get chilly the sky is a clear blue we’re headed to a museum this morning perfect way to start my day off the inside is absolutely stunning there’s so much natural light and here is the cafe from ‘Your name’ it has a variety of sweets, sandwhiches and drinks I got the salmon and cream cheese set the food was simple but pretty good I went to see this free exhibition afterwards (cannot film inside) time to head to our next destination we’re at Yotsuya station where many scenes from ‘Your name’ can be found this is definitely one of my favorite movies I first watched it in cinemas when I had just moved to Japan. so it makes me nostalgic about those times If you walk from the station to Suga shrine you’ll be met with this familiar street which leads to this famous staircase time to go to a cafe going to find a nice spot to drink my coffee stroll around a bit more before heading home today’s dinner is Japanese cold ramen making some breakfast this morning December is one of my favourite months everything is so cosy and lively breakfast is ready we’re headed out to see one of my favourite view points in Tokyo this place has the best view of Tokyo tower you can also enjoy exhibitions here as well I recommend coming around sunset to see this amazing view and also wait till it gets dark on the 52nd floor you can also purchase an extra ticket to see the outdoor observation deck and the view is definitely worth it will never get tired of this view time to head home dinner is potato chip fried rice I wasn’t quite sure how the potato chips would work But it gave the fried rice a nice flavour and crunch thanks for watching, see you in the next video

  1. Hello from Brazil!

  2. Hello, Maybe one rainy day we will meet in the Garden of Words, and we will chat about how nice it looks the garden in the rain, yet a bit melancolic; suddenly we will not be melancolic as we thread a nice friendship.

  3. All the Cameo of Your name, weathering with you,the garden of words all the infrastructure damn it was a nice vlog my life goal was to create exactly like yours <3

  4. Tell me, am I stupid or is there just something wrong with me? I listened to two versions of the music attached in the description, but they do not match the music at the beginning (it feels like there is a different cover)

    Help

Great video! Thank you, I would like to be in the same places one day

  5. I got to visit Japan for the second time last summer, unfortunately it didn't rain on any of the days we were there (and worse it was hot as hell). One of my main regrets when I first visited it was that I didn't really get to appreciate how beautiful Japan was as a whole, and when I got to go there last year I set off to wander the city of Tokyo by myself, get around everywhere by train. I went to the Yoyogi park when the sun was starting to set, and it was a very peaceful moment for me.

P.S. You have now inspired me to want to animate a short film of just cooking some breakfast.
