My boss gave me this prop and it was rotting, so I had to cut off the root and I'm gonna start all over again. I've never propped before though… Will this work?
as long as you have a node you can keep trying. did you cut off the root depicted here? or just the rotting part of the stem? it looks like the root you have a picture of is pretty healthy and even started putting out a little baby root, which is a very good sign.
