Was recently gifted this offshoot from my wife’s grandmothers Christmas cactus and I was wondering what I should do with it. I have some cactus soil I had premixed laying around(50/50 MG cactus mix/pure perlite) was wondering if I could just plant it in the soil, leave it for a few days and see if itl root

It is actually a thanksgiving cactus though it’s a common misconception, it’s also not technically a cactus also a common misconception. It prefers a well draining soil.
