Plant Propagation

Slimy jelly at the bottom of my leaves

This is my first time propagating and I don't know what the jelly like stuff is where the roots are meant to grow, did I do something wrong and if so is there anything I can change

That can grow on props sometimes just rub it off, but I don’t think it’ll be a successful prop there is no nodes for new leaf growth

When propagating Philodendron you need a node. Thats where roots and new leaves form. These leaves won’t grow roots.
That jelly can still occur in successful props, its biofilm. Can just be washed off with water.
