I posted my jar a few days ago that showcased a ton of planaria. Well as of this morning they are … Gone? Hiding? Dead ? Eaten ? Lol There is a nasty thick layer of stuff floating at the top of the jar. Is that them lol ? They were so active ! I kept the jar outside most of the time. I am wondering if they got too hot? It’s been 90-93 here the past few days. I did bring the jar in during the hottest parts of the day . It is not in direct sun either . Now I see these big worms! Maybe they dined on the planaria? This is so fun. I never imagined how many hours I’d lose sitting staring at a jar of worms lol
I’m not positive about planaria, but they’re related to leaches so maybe the same applies. Leaches will attach onto plant matter or other debris and try to blend in, waiting for something to come by for them to snack on.
So perhaps theyre just hiding mixed in with the debris!
