Grafting Plants

First ever graft was very hard

Man grafting a sp seedlings onto dragon fruit was a lot harden than I thought, I didn’t realize how hard the dragon fruit core would be. Didn’t realize how hard taping would be. Applying any force caused the scion to shift. Thankfully had my wife and I think I maybe did it correctly?? Gonna check up on it everyday and see!

There is definitely a learning curve, I still learn everytime. I haven’t figure out a good way to stop the Scion shift yet though

Hey I did my first graft too. Tried the grafting tape to optunia first. The scion was slipping too. Then I sold it with an ace bandage like you. ☝️💪.

Just make sure you wipe your blade with isopropyl alcohol. I just cut a 90*degree on the spot up high where another pad is going to come in. Put my scion on and rubber band 2 and wrap with ace bandage. Wait 5-7 days. Mines in full sun. We will see
