Japanese maple trees according to my research prefer a slightly acidic soil somewhere with a pH of 5.5 to 6.5 seems to be kind of the ideal number for Japanese maple trees now when it comes to other important things for soil you want to make sure that it’s very drainable but as you can see here is the back side of this orangeola Japanese Maple and you can see there’s some good moisture in the soil um but you want to make sure that when you water this the water drains quickly through it it didn’t just sit on the top um and you also want to make sure that your drainage holes are not plugged up since this was newly potted up earlier this season we’re obviously still good with this one a good quality potting soil I prefer organic products so I often will use organic products like this uh a good quality potting soil like this with a pH level there somewhere within that range I believe will be good

Wow the Japanese Maple in the beginning is truly beautiful! Do you have any videos on how to plant your Japanese Maple seeds (after they have gone through the cold weather)? Such as what would be good for growth?
