Hey everyone! I just scooped up some mud and water from a local marsh last night. There is definitely some life in here, now the question is do I have what it takes to sustain it all? I’m assuming I should probably get some aquatic plants in there right…? Missed that one.

Leave it open until you can get plants
You might want to remove some of the dead organic material, at least initially. As it decays it’ll be a big drain on oxygen and there’s nothing producing it right now.
When you were at the marsh, were there aquatic plants? Tossing a few in there would be good.
Gather plants and add them also let it settle and add more plants in about a week
