8x8x16 blocks – 10 count
8x8x8 blocks – 4 count
2”x8”x16’ plank, cut into 3 pieces, so approx 5’4” long, can be scaled any way you want.
It only cost $52 and about 10 mins of stacking cinder blocks. I feel like it’s a little tall. I could’ve gone for a 4th tier, but I was blindly copying another design. I think I’ll obscure the base with some other planters or something, but over all I think it looks solid and was ridiculously easy

Nice work! I might copy you!
Load the bottom shelf last… not first.
The bottom shelf is a bit scary.
Rope them together to make it a stronger and secure it all to the fence to make it shake proof
I would distribute your heaviest between the top and middle so all the load is being pushed down. You could always use construction glue if this is in a permanent spot
Love it! I used a similar design and spray painted the blocks matte black. Only takes 15 min and looks fabulous.
Also, if you think it’s a bit tall, you can drop down a block and that will also remedy the unstable looking bottom shelf. Although, seems like it will plenty stable as-is.
Great idea – love it!!
Not bad.
I love it!!
A leaf can collapse that. Don’t cantilever that bottom shelf.
I would squirt some Loctite PL 500 Landscape Block Adhesive between all the blocks. Maybe overkill, but a lot less expensive than a bunch of broken pots and trees.
