Has died and regrown twice

I don’t know why this spider plant does this, I water it once a week and keep it in medium light. Occasionally it gets brown like this, dies down to a small green stub, grows back better than ever, reaches this size, and dies again?

It sounds like your spider plant might be experiencing a cycle of overwatering followed by underwatering. Ensure the soil is well-draining, adjust watering frequency to allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings, and consider the plant’s root health.

It looks overwatered. I am also dealing with a spider plant I overwatered. Change the soil to new dry soil. Leave it alone. Let it dry out before watering it. Don’t stick to a time schedule.

You’re watering too often. Let the soil dry out and then stay dry for a week before you water again

It will change to a lighter hue when it needs water, stop watering on a schedule.

I am always killing these and if not me, then my cats 😭 I don’t even bother having it in soil, just water and it grows happy. I tried putting it in a pot and it wasn’t having it so now it’s in water with an epipremnum cutting since they release growing hormones I believe ☺️
