Recommendations for raised planters

I’m building some raised planters! Originally was just going to fill it with succulents but now I’m not sure. Any recommendations for low native drought friendly plants? Second pic is my original inspo (Will be doing a wild flower garden in a different section of the yard so no wild flowers in these planters)

This area will get lots of sun from 1pm onward if that helps.

I think clematis texensis or pitcheri would look great there as a ground cover/ spill effect even tho they’re considered vines and would complement the warmth of your home. The nice thing about them is winter dieback and non agressive tendencies for a controlled application like this.

Other spill options could be trailing wedelia, wooly stemodia, greggs mist, frog fruit, blackfoot daisy, skeleton leaf goldeneye
