Basil was doing so good and today I get up and there’s these little black bugs? Eggs? Idk. They are on top and bottom of the upper leaves. I live in Georgia btw if that helps. I’m about to clip off half the plant and soak the clipped leaves in vinegar to get rid of them before they spread 🥲

Nice looking basil, no idea where the eggs came from or what they are.
It looks like catipillar poop…a dusting of Diatomaceous Earth may help if they are snacking on the basil.
