Composting

First time, Currently composting in fabric pots, is this fine?

I was using plastic bins but weren't sure if they were food safe. I figure fabric pots will allow decent aeration. Mostly made of kitchen scraps, coffee grounds and cardboard/paper (and of course some piss). I try to mix every few days

Looks decent to me but just curious if it looks good to others/if anyone has done compost in fabric pots successfully. I assume it works fine though. Its a bit wet because its been raining today.

Looks great. They won’t last forever but seems like they’re getting the job done.

Likely you aren’t getting much ‘hot’ composting because of the limited size of your piles. If you want to hot composting a pile that is about 1 yard+ in every dimension is really helpful.

It will still work just fine, just take a bit long because most of the work will need to be done by bugs and fungal processes rather than heat loving bacteria.

Weed seeds and some plant diseases may also survive your composting process, but again, not a huge deal. Nice work.
