Just thoughts on this, saw it in one of my customers yards something looked off and caught my attention.

Thanks in advance. Obviously I saw the what I assume was where the dog was tied up, and squeezed the back, is the moisture the sap hitting that damage and leaking out bellow it and how doomed is that limb?
