Thx
Thanks so much!
I had been doing this but just harvesting the outer leaves as needed leaving the center. I did not know you could cut off the whole top above the crown and it works like that
Let us get more lettuce
Thanks to you I have been harvesting lettuce this way for a few years. Unfortunately several weeks of 90plus weather my lettuce is bolting. I will be replanting more for fall August first. I need to stop watching your videos because every year I try something new this fall I will be planting garlic for the first time, binge watching your garlic videos.
Thanks, I did not know this method.
I didn’t know you could do this. I’ll start next year.
THANK YOU!!! I thought cut and come again was a super tedious process where you just picked the outer leaves ONE BY ONE! Now I see I was all wrong! My lettuce always goes to seed because I don’t want to be bothered and there’s a thin line between harvesting a full head and it bolting. You have changed my lettuce game Luke! And thanks to you, I’m STILL harvesting peas thanks to your video on high intensity pea spacing. I can’t believe it’s still thriving after two separate heat waves and STILL flowering and producing! Praise God for you and your family putting in the work to share and empower those of us that want to grow big 😊
Gorgeous lettuce!! My lettuce didn't do very well this Spring but I've always used the cut and come again method. When do you plant your lettuce for the fall?
This is a great video. I learned how to better harvest my lettuce. Thank you!
This is awesome. I have been cutting the head. Sad I could have grown more. THANK YOU!!! I will be planting fall lettuce
the cool mint leaf lettuce has been the best lettuce i have grown started it in my hydroponics garden last winter transplanted this spring and iam still harvesting it
Everything trashed last week due to bolting and bitterness.
I kind of stumbled on this method! I never heard anyone talk about harvesting lettuce this way until very recently, but this is how I have always done it. And it's how I'll do it in my fall garden, and hopefully my winter cold frame, and then maybe it will grow again next spring! Always experimenting!
Can you please make a video talking when and how to harvest? Every time I harvest leafy greens cucumbers carrots it gets floppy and wilted. Yes I harvest very first thing in the morning before the sun is fully out. I even tried harvesting late at night when the sun is down but my produce still looks wilted
I would say $10 a sq ft is a very modest amount. Organic greens can be fairly expensive, not to mention store-bought greens don't last nearly as long!
Love this method. Been eating fresh salads everyday since May. Placed my lettuce bed in the shade so I can harvest longer into the summer. Zone 4a so doesn't get too hot.
