hey everyone welcome or welcome back to my Channel today I’m going to share with you another terracotta pot patio pet all you cat lovers spoke out and I listened and today I’ve got these cute little terra cotta pot and vase cats to share with you these are super easy to make I’ve given you the SVG and the PDF so you can cut out the eyes if you want how to make them stick around I show you how thank y’all so much for being here I really appreciate it [Music] okay I’m going to start with one of the Dollar Tree vases it measures three and a half inches deep by four inches wide and then I’m going use four little flower pots that measure four and a quar by 4 and A4 and I’ll give you the link for those and then I’m going to paint these with a restum white matte paint and then I’m going to take another four and I’m going to paint it with a satin black paint okay to prep our bowls we’re just going to go ahead and wipe them out with some regular rubbing alcohol now if you can’t find this exact size um bowl or the size um terra cotta pots you can upscale this a little bit however big you want to just make sure that the four of them do sit on top of the bowl okay to make these a little bit easier to paint I’m just going to go ahead and stick a cup in each one of these and just turn it over using the cup to set those on it does keep it from sticking to the um paper sometimes if you spray paint you can notice if you try to pick it up a little bit soon it sticks to the paper this just makes it a little bit easier where it doesn’t do that but you want to make sure that you get enough coats on it that you cannot see through the bowl and just do even sweeps on it you know and then let it dry between it because you don’t want any runs now that those are dried we’re going to take a little bit of E6000 glue and glue the two front legs together and then we’re going to glue the two back legs to the front legs and we’re going to offset them a little bit so that if you’re looking forward at the little cat you can see the back legs at the same time as the front and then go ahead and put a big dollop of glue in top of each one of the Little Flower Pots and Center your big flower pot on top of this and then just let it dry and you’re going to do the same thing with the white bowl next for the eyes we’re going to go ahead and assemble them we’re going to take two of the big black circles and we’re going to to glue two of the white circles on top of that where you can still see the edges a little bit and then we’re going to put the black circle right on top of the white one now I’ve given you the link for the pattern for these in the description below in both SVG and PDF and you can just cut them out with a Cricut or you can cut them out by hand but just kind of make sure that that eye does get right up to the edge on both of them and then let those dry real well so we’re going to go ahead and touch the eyes we’re just going to put them right exactly like that and we’re just going to put glue them on with hot glue now if you’re going to put this outside under a patio or something like that you might want to put a little E6000 glue on there as well and then just push those on until they dry and next for the face I’m I’m just going to take a fine paint brush and some black chalk paint and I’m just going to paint this on now just take your time on this I’m just doing an oval for the nose and I’m going to kind of make it small at first and then I’ll build it up now if you mess it up you can just take some rubbing alcohol and wipe it off and start over again or if you want to pencil it in first you could do that as well and then next I’m just going to come straight down on the front and then I’m going do his mouth and then you can start adding to it here just start darken it up and enlarging it a little bit just kind of touching it up a little bit it doesn’t have to be perfect he’s a cartoon and then I’m going to go ahead and do his toes and then on the back you’re not going to see the third one so I’m just going to go two on the back but just go ahead and draw them in there first and then can touch them up okay next I’m going to take some pink paint I’m going to give him some little cheeks and I’m just going to take a round sponge brush to put that on and then I’m going to kind of blend it in and I’m just putting one on each side and then let that dry real good and we’ll go ahead and add some whiskers while the cheeks are drying I’m just going to take some air dry clay it’s just some white air dry clay and I’m going to shape it into the shape of some ears now I’m going to make about a one in by 1 in ear and I’m just going to make it into a triangle shape just kind of get it smoothed out like that and then go ahead and do the other one exactly the same way and then to get them a little bit more smooth you can just Spritz them with a little bit of water it does kind of help smooth out the air dry clay a little bit and then um just kind of rub your finger on it till you get it as smooth as you want and then we’re going to go ahead and stick it up there onto the flower pot just to get the shape of it and then after it dries we’ll glue them to it just want to make sure that the bottoms are flat and then go ahead and attach them to your flower pot just push them right on there that way when they dry they’ll already be the shape that they need to be okay while the ears are drying we’re going to go ahead and paint on the whiskers and I’m just going to put three whiskers on each side and you could use a Sharpie pen if you want to okay now that the ears are dry we’re going to go ahead and glue them on now go ahead and use some E6000 glue along with your hot glue because I only use hot glue on mine and my ears fell off so I had to go back and put E6000 so go ahead and use E6000 and hot glue at the start we going to take a little faux fur and we’re going to cut it at 1 in by 2 in and go ahead and comb it open on both sides and and then we’re just going to glue it right over the top so half of it’ll be inside and half will be outside of the flower pot just kind of Center it right between the two ears and then let that dry real well okay once that’s dry just go ahead and start moving it on each side so it’s has like a little part down the middle and kind of pull some to the front and then we’re going to take some scissors and just kind of come right to the center of the front and the sides and we’re just going to cut into the faux fur that way it’ll just lighten it up a little bit and you’re not cutting across the faux fur next to make the tail I’m just going to take some craft foam and I’m just going to cut two strips of it I’m cutting it at 6 and 1/2 Ines in length and I’m just going to fold it over now this part doesn’t have to be perfect we’re going to put a piece of pipe cleaner in here glue it together and then we’re going to trim it out so just glue your pipe cleaner right down the center of it and then go ahead and glue the rest of it together and then we’re going to trim the entire thing out as soon as it dries that way you can make sure that you do have the side sealed up good if you do put the glue in there and kind of really add a lot of glue and then we’re going to trim it just make sure you get those sandwiched together really well and flattened out okay then next just take your scissors start at the bottom and just kind of curve around into like a long leaf shape and just make sure that you don’t cut through where you see the the pipe cleaner and then if you have any sides open go ahead and glue them shut and then I’m just going to take this and I’m going to go ahead and glue it right to the bottom of the flower pot and then I’m just going to curl the top part up and then I’m curling it out okay then I’m just going to glue it right to the Bottom now that little place right there I tried to glue those um terracotta pots on with super glue and it did not hold so I had to pull it back off and use the E6000 okay then just put a little bit of glue on the back part of the tail and just glue it right to the body okay I think this served out super cute I’m just going to add a plant right into the top part of it you can add flowers or whatever you want to or you could just leave it open and use it for something else let me know what you think in the comments okay if you’re going to do a black cat I’ll kind of show you real quickly what I did on this one I did the eyes exactly like I did the white one and then I’m going to use white paint to paint the nose and the mouth on this one use the same pink color to paint the cheeks cuz it was bright enough to be able to see on the black paint and then for the tail I’m just going to do it exactly like I did the other one except for I’m making a black tail and then I’m gluing it on just exactly like I did the white cat then I’m going to go ahead and paint the whiskers in white the ears exactly like I did the other one if you have air dry clay that’s black you can go ahead and do it this way I’m going to go ahead and glue these on and then I’m just going to paint those with some black paint but if you have some black um air dry clay I would go ahead and use that and then I’m going go ahead and paint his little paws with white paint and I decided to give some contrast to it I decided to go ahead and use the white faux fur on this cutting the same size the 1 in by 2 in and then just folding it right over the top and then just go ahead and glue that in just kind of comb his hair out a little bit and then just add a little plant pretty easy let me know what you think in the comments I think these turned out super cute if you have other animal ideas that you would like
