I wanted to start clean with a new Alocasia. First time just cutting some of the roots and propagating it. Seems to work well! The baby is growing very fast.
The first two pictures are the baby, the last picture is the mother plant!

Quite fascinating to see the new stem shaping up from scratch.
Didn’t realize it grows that fast in the beginning. Every day there’s a couple of millimeters in growth. Just over a month ago there was nothing yet. Just soil.
Now it’s about 5-7cm in height.
