Obvious answer is to just strim it then dig it out, the roots may not be as deep as you think. Alternatively, you could strim it then place a tarp over it to block sunlight and let the tarp suffocate it, much easier but will take a few weeks. Either way you’ll be left with a big patch in your lawn.

Looks like sedge grass. Dig it out.
