I’ve had this beautiful bird of paradise for several years, but it’s seemed unhappy lately. It sits in a sunny south facing window and I water it whenever it looks dry and thirsty, every 7-10 days or so. The leaves are a bit wrinkly, and two of them look outright strange – one of which has a usual wrinkle and the other is patchy. It was recently overwatered by someone taking care of them while I was away for a week, but I’ve been letting the soil dry before watering again like I was before.

That’s a bird of paradise? I thought that was that crazy looking flower..?
Wrinkly leaves could be low humidity – I know leaves sometimes catch on themselves pre-unfurling without enough humidity and can cause weird lines of “folds”. 🤷🏻♀️
