Yeah, got myself some solid rain lately. Nature doing the work!

The annual rye I put down in the spring all died after a few really hot and really dry days. Guess it’s that much more ready for the fall seeding.
The junk in the rest of the yard (I’m assuming clumping fescue without looking into it) never seems to turn brown even in the winter.

Haven’t yet. Last week was the first week where it barely rained. It’s supposed to rain tonight. Grass is starting to look dry.
Pretty great run. Not sure if I’ve ever made it to August without watering before

Can’t remember the last time I saw my irrigation running. The regularly scheduled afternoon rain shower has been putting in work for me here in central Florida this year.

Northern New England here, have been VERY lucky. No watering at all and regular mowing all year!
Was mowing yesterday and noticed some dry spots. Might throw a sprinkler out tomorrow. What a run.

Grass is a thirsty bitch this summer. 30+C° days all week. Occasional rain and sprinklers 3 times a week it’s staying green, but not thick.

Zone 6b. Lots of rain lately. Watered a bit on top to keep it at 1” per week but probably didn’t actually put much into the ground

Oh hell no I live in a desert
I’ll be honest. I looked at this picture and thought immediately this needs a little water. lol
No
I’m lucky enough not to care when it turns brown, so…yes, I guess?
What didn’t die during June is starting to thrive again, but a lot died in June/July.
Putting in irrigation for next year 🫠
Near Houston here. 19.8” in the past month. My yard looks great. When it dries out enough to mow it, that is.
