this new leaf sprouted with brown spots, then eventually as the leaf matured the largest brown spot turned into a hole.
i theorized maybe lack of water or lack of fertilizer.
i ruled out lack of water after checking the soil with a moisture meter and it was very moist at the bottom.
i concluded that it needs fertilizer so i gave it a good soak with some diluted SuperThrive, and i won’t water it again until it’s almost dry.
did i do the right thing?

Your plant brown leaves on a fiddle leaf fig is due to a fungle infection from the roots sitting in too much moisture. First of all, the plant should be shifted another pot or container. A few days ago I faced a similar problem and I followed the tips written on the [page.](https://myindoorplants.com/2023/09/25/what-causes-how-to-cure-fiddle-leaf-fig-brown-spots/)
