I’m new to the hobby and nearly killed my fig. I’ve since learned how to take care of it, and have been letting it recover for the past few months.
It’s healthy now, but I’m left with a lot of dead branches. What are my options? Am I just supposed to prune off everything dead and see what’s left?

I’d say: generally not whatever you were doing to almost kill out, and continue doing whatever it is you’re doing that isn’t almost killing it 🤷♂️
Definitely trim off the dead stuff. The soil looks good. Are you giving it any fertilizer? Ficus love the summer time. Mine is a strong one and it took a repotting this month and a hard cut back. It’s back budding everywhere.
