I was given this cutting of this Hoya Macrophylla (I think?) and I have no idea which way is up. I know the need to have the stem exposed, but I don’t even know which way to start. Which leaves to I remove? The The first picture shows the way I thought it was oriented, but it looks that that stem has been damaged (seen in the 2nd picture) and I don’t know if it’s viable at all. Any help is appreciated.

I believe photos 4 and 5 are the proper orientation, so what’s facing downwards is meant to be in the soil. I think the stem may have been laying in a way so the leaves oriented themselves like this, making it a little confusing. It’s definitely happened to me.
