Simply put. I’m better with my plants and flowers than grass. Everything I’m doing is wrong. Store brand stuff just seems to make it worse and worse every year. With crabgrass, clover and moss. Not looking for a golf course here but I really need help. I’m in New York. Any advice on what to do rather than following a random YouTube guy to prep in late summer/fall?

Hey! Did someone say *crabgrass*? Here are [pictures of crabgrass](https://www.google.com/search?q=crabgrass&tbm=isch) and [control options for crabgrass](https://www.lawndork.com/weeds/crabgrass).

just spray for them weeds, it will take time but the grass will win.
Most are safe after a few hours. There is alot of comments here pertaining to prevention if you search a bit for posts wiith comments on identifying weed. I believe ortho has a product with a pic of crabgrass, clover, and dandelions on it that would work. Spectacide has a “450 weeds” that kills crabgrass too.
I’d cut it, power rake the heck out of it, fertilize and water.
