I feel so lucky! First that I found some milkweed for a decent price, and now I am fortunate to see the exact reason I planted it in the first place! 💕
Might have to go buy another couple plants at the rate this lil guy is eating!

Love it ! Congrats ! It never fails. Monarchs are so hard up for a good home. They show up fast. There’s a good chance you bought that with some eggs already on it. Everytime I’ve planted milk weed. It never fails. I also get to discover all the other types of butterfly’s that exist as well .

We have wild milkweed, and I thought it would be great to keep it up for butterflies…. completely forgetting that I have a flock of birds living in the bushes in the front yard. They LOVE hanging out in the backyard. At least the bumble bees are safe.

I’m so jealous. I have massive milkweed and even though I see monarch butterflies on them all the time, I have yet to find any caterpillars. I wonder if the birds eat them. I have a huge bird population in my front yard. Your milkweed looks like rosemary to me. I guess there’s different kinds

Aww. I’m so jealous! I have tons and tons of milkweed but haven’t seen any butterflies or caterpillars. I’m not sure if maybe I’m just in a bad location or something. I’m glad you’re helping the butterflies 😊 my neighbors honey bees love the milkweed too

We planted 4 native milkweeds and 4 non native milkweeds volunteered and we’ve have the most butterflies over ever seen at me house in over a decade
I plan on planting more next year.
Keep it up and make a positive change!
