My white knight had a new leaf that got eaten by caterpillars, so I chopped it off. I noticed it had a new leaf coming out, so I left it with just a missing leaf. Once the leaf (sort of) emerged from the sheath, nothing happened for almost 5 days. I noticed at the bottom it was stuck in the sheath, since my white knight is super compact with its leaves. I freed it, but it has this weird dark spot on the bottom, and I accidentally broke the rest of the leaf off while doing it. Am I doomed? ( It has good variegation though lol )

I have this picture of it after I freed it because it used to be a stuck leaf. You can see it still trapped in the sheath at the bottom.

It will be fine. You’re right that the leaf has a damaged spot, though. It will either mature with a dry spot or abort the leaf altogether, but it will be fine once it has time to grow past that leaf.
